The art of acception

Last night in training, Sensei gave me a great lesson.

Among the highly philosophical quotes he mentioned are :

" Old habit is in the blood, difficult to change. Persistence is needed to change."

" If you resist, you will face more resistance. "

"The more negative enery you point towards your opponent, the more negative energy he will return to you."

"If someone bump onto you on the street, do you blame him? He might be in a rush, therefore unaware, but you are the culprit yourself as well, as you are not aware. It takes two people to create a conflict."

Simple, but it did make me thinking!

The Reason I Love him

Had a ball basketball and recalled this player called Hakeem Olajuwon.

Watch the video, and watch top plays #1 and #2.

Amazing, spectaculor and that's what inspires me how to play basketball.

But, I respect him for his other side in life most, as quoted from Wiki:

"Olajuwon was still recognized as one of the league's elite centers despite his strict observance of Ramadan (e.g., abstaining from food and drink during daylight hours for about a month), which occurred during virtually every season of his career. Olajuwon was noted as sometimes playing better during the month, and in 1995 he was named NBA Player of the Month in February, even though Ramadan began on 1 February of that year"

No excuse for Muslims to feel lazy in the month of Ramadan isn't it?
